About

Hey, I'm Alan a full-stack software engineer from Tijuana, Mexico, and the creator of Mood UI. Over the past few years I've built scalable SaaS and enterprise applications used by 1,000+ people, working across teams at companies ranging from small startups to large firms.

I'm strongest on the front end Vue 3, Nuxt, and Tailwind CSS, but I'm just as comfortable on the back end with .NET Core and Laravel, designing REST APIs and multi-tenant architectures. Lately I've been focused on performance, developer tooling, and leveling up my software architecture.

Outside of code, I'm into video games, music, movies, and travel. I've explored parts of the Americas and Europe, and Asia is next on my list.

    Built an iOS personal-finance app, published on the App Store. Its signature feature is hands-free expense tracking through Siri voice commands—log spending without unlocking your phone—backed by a manual AI chat interface for full control.

  2. Creator & Maintainer

    Maintainer of Mood UI, an open-source (MIT) Vue 3 component library published on npm with 86+ accessible components and 24 composables. Built on Tailwind CSS v4 and TypeScript, with reactive theming, dark mode, WAI-ARIA accessibility, tree-shaking, and native English/Spanish i18n.

  3. Full-Stack Software Engineer

    Design and build internal enterprise applications used daily by 1,000+ people. Cut execution time on critical features from ~30s to under 1s (up to 30× faster) by refactoring .NET backend logic and database queries. Built a reusable Vue 3 / Nuxt component library to standardize UI across teams, and replaced manual deployments with automated multi-environment CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
